Eat Your Way Across Southern Florida – Round 2

After a short break in the late afternoon, Jason’s and my food quest continued.

Our next stop was a place called Ricky Thai Bistro, near Jason’s old condo. We got some Som Tam, a green papaya salad. It was a good dish, it had shredded green papaya, tomatoes, some chilis, and a liquidy sauce on it. A smaller portion that what we expected, but the flavor was there.

The last spot we visited was the Hofbrau Beerhall in Miami, and we ordered the currywurst. It was good, but a bit different than what we expected. It was just a sausage in a curry sauce. I had thought the curry would incorporated into the sausage itself. It was still pretty tasty, though we don’t think we would get it again from this spot.

We did try to go to a spot that promised some rabbit stew, but there was a line, it looked pretty busy, and Yelp said that it was likely pretty expensive. Since we had some other plans for the night we decided to skip this spot.

Great success. Overall, I was able to check 12 foods off of my list which was very impressive.
